Haven't been able to sleep too well yet either. It holds the jaw in an unnatural position, I guess this is the whole point. My jaw is tense and does not relax. My lips dry out quickly and with the appliance in place, I can't moisten them. The first couple of nights I didn't sleep very soundly. The next few nights I slept better, but upon waking found that I had unconsciously removed it sometime during the night, defeating the whole purpose.
