I found this mattress which made me very happy with the purchase because not only is it a foam style but it also is environmentally friendly. I did my research and found this to be one of the best for a child’s crib.

this is a wonderful mattress. we have been using it for 8 months. we bought it for our second child. it is firm and doesn’t start to sway in the middle at all. i especially like that it is very lightweight..i have no trouble lifting it to change the crib sheet at all like i did with the sealy we had. i’m sure my husband appreciates that bit. I would definitely recommend this mattress..however, the price of 140.00 on amazon is waaaaay too much. we got ours at walmart with site to store shipping for a total of 80.00!!

This mattress seems to hit a nice median point in terms of being earth friendly, safe for your child, and reasonably priced. I did some research and found that this little mattress was able to provide the best safety from harmful chemicals in the middle price range. It was(is) neither too expensive nor cheap. I think it was $150.00. It does have a plastic casing which makes it not totally safe, but better than the average. My baby girl sleeps well on it and I sleep better knowing she is as safe – as safe as I can make her without buying a $400.00 mattress.
