Shifting straps are a problem with most of the masks because most people move around a bit when asleep.

The mask I like most is just a small nose manifold that covers the nostrils to blow in air. That keeps the throat inflated like a balloon, preventing throat closures and snoring. One problem is with the straps over the head that keep the nose piece in place. They can be a little annoying at first, and if you change sleeping positions at night, it is possible for these straps to move, causing the nose piece to slip off and wake you up.

I have been using a Dreamhelmet (a combination sleep mask sound-muffling pillow) for years now, to sleep at night and for napping during the day. I always find it hard to sleep without the Dreamhelmet, and was afraid I would not be able to use it with the CPAP mask, but I was wrong.

After using the CPAP machine and mask for a short while, I tried wearing the Dreamhelmet over the CPAP mask, covering up the straps – voila, it worked like a charm! I found that the Dreamhelmet actually helps keep the straps in place when I change positions, so now I can sleep all night in comfort, not being bothered by sound, light, or changing positions. The CPAP combined with the Dreamhelmet are the perfect sleeping combo for me. I think The Dreamhelmet will probably cure the shifting problem on most masks because of the buffer it provides. Dreamhelmets are only sold on their own website.

The mask works fairly well. Wish they were a little bit more substantial, but put together fairly well, for a device that is completely plastic.

I'm one of the fortunate CPAP users that was happy with the first mask I ever tried. After about 10 months of use, however, I realized I needed a new one. I turned to Amazon due to the low prices, and a week or so later I had my new mask, just as good as the old one. No leaks for me, and the gel really makes it a comfortable fit. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the forehead "nub" leaves a red circle and a little dent on my face every morning that takes awhile to fade... but a small price to pay for extreme comfort and minimal hassle. I'd definitely recommend this mask.

I've used this same mask for years but I am moving on to something else. They leak out the sides and every time you replace it you get an infected sore on the bridge of your nose. They are hard to clean and ill-fitting. It's better than snoring or not waking up. Headgear needs readjusting frequently.

I've been treating my sleep apnea since 2002 and have gone through many masks. This time my provider sent me this piece of junk. I HATE IT. I hate the stupid tabs, and the part that the velcro attaches to has pulled away from the rest of the strap. I much preferred the old "Seatbelt" type of attachment, but this is what I got. It leaks unless I adjust it JUST SO and usually by the 7th hour I'm asleep it's on the verge of slipping off my face.

I had to inquire about status of delivery because Amazon had not notified seller, but turnaround was more than satisfactory when Ken became aware.
<br />Thanks, I really needed to replace the mask.
