I bought one of these at a local furniture store for $80+…and it deteriorated in the washer or dryer, so I needed to replace it. I didn’t want to spend another $80 so I took a chance on this one. I thought it would be cheap and plastic-sheet-like, but its just like the expensive one I was replacing. It has a nice rubbery membrane and a terry top with nice, stretchy sides that fits my mattress and pillow topper with room to spare.

High quality, safe for washer / dryer use. Won’t melt like the “plastic” waterproof mattress. Even if waterproofing isn’t your concern, good for keeping sweat / body dander off the mattress. I got one for every bed in the house.

Please save yourself the mistake of spending $10 on a mattress protector that is NOT waterproof. I learned this the hard way when I used this on my daughter’s twin size bed. She tends to have accidents, and we soon found out that this “waterproof” mattress protector did absolutely nothing in that sense. It was essentially useless, and everything leaked right through. In hindsight, I wish I had just spend the extra $ and bought the same kind I have on my bed, Luna Premium Hypoallergenic Waterproof Mattress Protector http://www.amazon.com/Luna-Hypoallergenic-Waterproof-Mattress-Protector/dp/B002AQJOFO/ Yes, it’s more expensive at $35, but trust me when I say you won’t regret spending more. I wish I had put the $10 I wasted on this crappy one and put it towards a Luna brand!!!

This is the best waterproof mattress protector. It has a soft terry cloth covering so you don’t know it is there yet it protects the mattress from any kind of spill.

I had hopes for this mattress pad as it had many good reviews but unfortunately it is not waterproof at all. We have had it for 2 months and just recently test drove its waterproofness. The liquid went right through the mattress pad as though it wasn’t even waterproofed. Luckily, I had another mattress pad under that that saved the day. Do not buy for children’s beds or any other situations in which you need waterproofing. I would return it but for ten bucks it doesn’t seem worth the effort. Disappointing!!!
