    I have had insomnia for less than 3 months. It isn’t that I’m worried or thinking about anything in particular – I just lay down to go to sleep and am wide awake. Ugh!
    I was really looking forward to this CD set. It has several different tracks on it including one where you pose a problem and it helps you with post hypnotic suggestions so that in the morning you wake up, after you’ve “slept on it”. There is also a track for lucid dreaming and another for when you’re in an unfamiliar place to encourage you to sleep.
    It didn’t work for me. I didn’t fall asleep and in fact was more wide awake when it was over. I use visualizations and hypnosis cd’s with great success usually though I’ve never used them for sleep before as I haven’t had the need. It sounded perfect for my needs!
    The author’s voice is not conducive is high, nasal and monotonous. It would have been very helpful to hear a sample of this cd before getting it.
    I have used hypnosis cd’s in the past with great success though not with the issue of insomnia.     First, I am not an expert on hypnosis and have never been to see a hypnotherapist. Nor have I ever listened to any hypnosis CD’s other than the two in this set. I have recently purchased, read and used a self-hypnosis book with varying degrees of success. That said, I feel this CD set is definitely worth a try for those who are suffering from sleeping problems.

    I’m not the best sleeper myself, having difficulty getting to sleep, and then frequently waking up and unable to return to sleep. This became especially troublesome when I hit 50 and the “change” began (insert creepy music here). I listened to the CD’s and really followed his program the best I could…..and I zonked out for several hours and woke up ready to get on with my day. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I need to keep trying it out, but for now, my results were quite good.

    He talks softly about breathing, and takes you on some guided meditation type inductions (riding a magic carpet), discusses what hypnosis is and how it can work for you, how you can take control of your sleeping habits and situations, among much other useful information. His voice was not hard to listen too, especially if you love Winnie the Pooh. He sounds very much like Winnie so it’s like a soft lovable Winnie is talking you through all this.

    I will post an update as I get more experience with this set, but for now I am pleased with it. If it continues to deliver what it has so far I will certainly give it a raving review.

    I wanted to like this product more than I did. There’s a good chance it would work for others, although it did not in my situation.

    On the plus side, I like the option of different tracks that are given, so that you can select the one that appeals most to you. I also liked the speaker’s voice and found it soothing. However, I did not find the results consistent.

    My particular sleep issue is waking up in the middle of the night, or waking too early. This happens in spells of weeks at a time, then all will be fine again. It does not seem to have a correlation to stress. I have no difficulty falling asleep.

    Using the CDs I found that if I had the volume up loud enough for me to hear it, that it kept me awake. If I lowered the volume, I fell asleep quickly, as usual…but it left me wondering if my subconscious would still absorb the suggestions or not. I have a slight hearing problem, so too low a volume also left the words unintelligible. Perhaps my subconscious self hears better than my conscious self, but I can’t testify to that. I will continue to experiment with the CD’s in the hope that it may just take time to see results. The track I will be using is the one that focuses on healing.

    I wish the sleeve had indicated how many nights are necessary to have an impact on sleep problems. That might help people to give it a longer trial period. Am still hopeful I will see some benefits, as I believe in hypnosis.
