This is a nice mattress pad. It washes nicely and the price is excellent considering there are brands that run for $100 that are made from the same material. It does sleep “hot”, meaning you tend to get overheated while sleeping. We are always kicking the covers off! Great to use in the winter instead of turning up your heat , but come summertime I will go back to a regular mattress pad that lets you “breathe”.
Not a high star product. I tried to modify my initial valuation of 4 stars, but this site does not let me. It should only be 2 stars. The reason is that the guarantee does not cover stains caused by bodily fluids. What does it protect agains, if it is not that?!!!!
We have a young child that is potty trained at night, but has accidents occasionally. We bought this product, because we thought it would be comfortable for her to sleep on it and if an accident occurred, we could wash it easily in the washer. But we soon discovered that the product has a small flaw: if our daughter sleeps close to one of the mattress borders and has an accident, the sides are made of nylon and allows the urine to soak into the matress. We had assumed the ENTIRE mattress the comfort shield covered would be protected. Then again, we did not find a better alternative, and are buying a second one. But I hope that the makers of this products read this and make a comfort shield that protects the sides too.
This matress does the job it’s supposed to do, and protects the mattress from spills. Unfortunately, to the hand it feels generally cheap and flimsy. Although it fits my deep mattress it does not have the strength in its elasticity to fit tightly enought to keep the protector firmly on the bed. Consequently, over time it tends to bunch up under the sheets. For the price it is probably good value, but you are getting what you pay for! For a future purchase I would probably pay a little extra for a better quality product.
