I purchased this item for my son who was 4 and although potty trained is an extremely heavy sleeper and still has accidents at night. I purchased two of these items as recommended by several viewers and if this is for a child and you can afford it buy two! It makes it so much easier at night when you just have to pull off the pad and replace it with another one, because if your son is like mine just because they pee in the middle of the night does not mean he won’t in the morning. This rarely happened but for the few times it did I was really glad I had put the spare on. This also works great for when you go on vacation. I just fold it up and take it with. It’s nice to have that extra security. I have now had this product for over 6 months and is still working great even through a lot of washes. My only complaint and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is like many others I wish it was bigger. It does not cover the mattress as much as the picture shows, they must have used a toddlers bed and therefore we have had some accidents that the cover did not catch. My son is a mover at night and we will sometimes find him in the morning with his head where his feet should be. I am now in the process of buying a waterproof mattress protector to go underneath the sheet. Already had one, but that product did not live up to his name so have been using the baby flannel waterproof lap pads underneath sheet, only problem with that is they are only about a square foot so have several of them strategically placed underneath. Not the best for permanent solution but great for in a jam.

My son has been trained for years but we still have problems with night time wetness. He soaks thru pullups and sheets. So far we have never leaked through these pads and they work great. Others that just lay on top of the mattress don’t stay in place and we end up changing all the bedding but with this I pull it off and wash it without having to wash all the other bedding. My only regret was not buying another so plan to do so soon.

This pad works very well, and the quality overall is good, but after several trips through the clothes dryer, the plastic backing did start to wear. I purchased another and am hanging it to dry instead of using the dryer.

The Handy’s Plus Pad is wonderful!! I have a toddler who is a heavy wetter and this has saved my sanity many a night. I had the same thing for her crib (with the snaps around the bars) which was also a life saver. If she wakes up wet in the middle of the night, I just clean her up, take this off the bed and put her back to sleep. I only have one, and I could see that two would be nice, but for the price, I don’t really need two. I usually hang mine up to dry but it seems to do just fine in the dryer. The wings are long enough to tuck in, but not so long that you’re tucking forever. It really stays in place nicely and my daughter seems very comfortable on it. I would buy this again…. and probably will with baby #2 on the way!!!
